Why do I taste blood in my mouth ?
Sometimes there are no answers asked:
I have good oral hygiene. I brush twice a day and floss daily. I use listerine also. For the past few days I can taste and see blood in my mouth when I spit it out. Why ? Please don’t say gingivitis, my gums are not inflammed.

Maybe gingivitis. Gums need to be strengthened with a cleaning from your dentist. Can also be you are using a hard bristle brush and are scraping the gums too hard. Switch to a soft bristle brush. And it could be both. But try switching toothbrushes first.

How long has it been since your last professional cleaning? Even with good hygiene, over time you will get some tartar on your teeth that needs to be cleaned off professionally.
Is it possible that you injured your gum when brushing/flossing? You might see a few days bleeding after you brush until it’s healed and you wouldn’t notice any inflammation.
If you don’t see any improvement after three days of bleeding, you should definitely have your dentist take a look at it, or even your family physician.

the floss might be rubbing on your gums harder than normal, it shouldent be a problem, but the next time you go to the dentist, just bring it up.
