Obviously, I don’t want to make a habit of it as I know brushing is the best way.. Thing is, I think I may have damaged my gums by brushing too hard recently and it hurts like heck to even smile. Brushing seems to make the wounds worse and toothpaste only irritates them. So, until my gums heal up, is there another way I can keep my teeth clean?

Whenever I go to the dentist they complain that my teeth are too yellow/orange/stained to get sent to the braces doctor(Name slips my head at the moment) so they tell me to keep brushing twice a day and flossing once. I’ve been flossing once every two days and brushing everyday, just to get the hang of it. I *WANT* braces. I have those ‘canine’ teeth that are near the top of my mouth and I want them fixed.

Today my aunt told me to try this; baking soda and peroxide every second day insted of toothpaste, but, use my floride after it. Does this really help get my teeth clean?
I can’t get it done at the dentists or whatever. I live in a small town and we don’t exactly HAVE money to get it done. My parents promised me braces when they said I should get them.
I’m only 13 with HORRIBLE dental. Crooked teeth, raised teeth, overbite.
