Tooth paste and mouth wash will help in the removal of plaque and food debris. Some whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide which may interfere with the bonding of dental brackets. If you had your teeth whitened, then you are at a higher risk of orthodontic bracket bond failure. If you had your orthodontic brackets placed and then started using the over the counter products, then your chance decreases for bracket failure.

My answer won`t be as impressive.. and obvious as the first answerer`s, but yes you can. I am using it right now, with braces on. it does make a bit of a difference too!
