How to clean teeth without brushing?

cleverblackcat asked:

Obviously, I don’t want to make a habit of it as I know brushing is the best way.. Thing is, I think I may have damaged my gums by brushing too hard recently and it hurts like heck to even smile. Brushing seems to make the wounds worse and toothpaste only irritates them. So, until my gums heal up, is there another way I can keep my teeth clean?

Thanks.

You are brushing your teeth too hard. Try to brush them softer. Till then use mouth wash.

maybe just use your finer to rub the paste into your teeth avoiding the gum line, then rinse with the paste still in your mouth. try that, good luck!

well, there is not a way of keeping the teeth clean without brushing (brushing is key factor, it is efficient even without toothpaste). however, you are brushing too hard – use a softer toothbrush and don’t brush more then 3-4 minutes. if you have a reason to believe your gums might have an inflammation process going on, go see your dentist.
as far as the situation now, you can rinse your mouth with sage tea, it will fasten your healing.
