A dentist would tell you to brush every time you eat when having braces but I had them and I just brushed three times a day and I was fine. Usually after a big meal brush because food gets stuck in them and is more bad for you because the food is just stilling there.

yea with braces brushing ur teeth is critical. brushing after every major meal is important. when i had them i brushed 3 times a day. i got them off and everything was great. for some people if you don’t brush well enough you get the braces off with embarassing white marks all over your teeth. after every little snack? i wouldnt say so. mayb a quick rinse will do. truthfully after a while of braces you acquire a handy skill of picking excess food out with your tongue.
